Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is currently seeking an Assembly and Test Production Supervisor (Performance Leader) to join their team at their Torrance, California facility. This onsite role is a full-time position that offers a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off, which supports a balanced lifestyle. The position pays an annual salary in the range of $90,000 to $125,000, reflecting the role’s senior responsibilities and the level of leadership expected.
As an Assembly and Test Production Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team within the production area, overseeing assembly and test operations with a focus on data-driven performance management. Reporting to the Process Manager, your leadership will be pivotal in aligning team objectives with broader organizational goals. You will be responsible for implementing and measuring these objectives to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality while ensuring adherence to safety and standardized work procedures.
This role emphasizes the importance of people management, including hiring external talent, evaluating team members, managing employee relations, and fostering continuous growth and development. The supervisor will also maintain a safe and organized work environment, promote teamwork across departments and suppliers, and ensure accurate employee time reporting. Additional responsibilities include participating in Lean Operations through Tier I and Tier II meeting executions and supporting functional process metrics.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial leadership experience in a production environment, preferably within manufacturing or aerospace sectors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet strategic goals like inventory reduction and lead time shortening are essential. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
- six years of directly related production environment experience
- previous supervision or team lead experience
- knowledge of manufacturing engineering, product engineering, quality assurance, tooling services and material departments
- demonstrated leadership skills
