The company maintains a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment where trust and respect are central to its culture. This dedication contributes to deeper job satisfaction, valuable rewards, and an excellent quality of life both professionally and personally for its workforce.
The role of Assembler/Tester at Moog’s Space and Defense Group based in Highland Heights, Ohio, represents a critical position within the production team. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is essential to manufacturing fiber optic cables and transceivers used in sophisticated aerospace and defense technologies. The role involves hands-on assembly, precise measurement, and quality testing of components to ensure products meet stringent customer specifications and industry standards.
This full-time position is available on either the first or second shift at Moog’s Cleveland facility, offering competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.74 to $19.88. The compensation package is further enhanced by performance-based bonuses, profit sharing, and benefits that promote well-being and professional growth. These include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401k matching, and opportunities for professional development like tuition assistance and leadership coaching.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate the ability to comprehend verbal, written, and digital instructions clearly. Strong basic math skills are also necessary to perform calculations and precise measurements involved in assembling components. The assembler/tester is responsible for a variety of tasks such as assembling parts using hand tools and equipment, inspecting each unit for quality compliance, troubleshooting and repairing assemblies, and conducting functional tests based on detailed documentation.
The role also requires adherence to safety protocols, including handling materials safely in an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) environment. Attention to detail, patience, and the ability to follow complex work instructions and technical drawings are paramount. Furthermore, the assembler/tester must be capable of setting up and calibrating testing equipment accurately and efficiently.
Moog values the contributions of its employees and supports them with a broad range of benefits to ensure a balanced work-life experience. Employees enjoy flexible paid time off, parental leave, holiday pay, employee stock purchase plans, and relocation assistance. The company fosters a culture of inclusion through employee resource groups and team-building activities that promote a welcoming workplace atmosphere. Second shift employees receive a shift differential to recognize their contribution during non-traditional hours.
Moog is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusion and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. The company prides itself on transparency regarding its salary range and overall compensation structure while continually striving to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement. Joining Moog as an Assembler/Tester means becoming part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology in aerospace and defense while supporting the personal and professional growth of its people.
