Job Description
Mickey Truck Bodies is a leading manufacturer specializing in state-of-the-art truck bodies, trailers, and specially engineered vehicles. We are currently seeking a full-time Assembler to join our High Point, NC location. This role operates Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime opportunities on Fridays and some Saturdays. The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $18.50 per hour, coupled with a bi-weekly productivity and performance bonus. The assembler will perform repetitive line-assembly tasks to create body components or assemble these components into completed truck bodies or trailers. This position requires someone with the ability to read blueprints and work independently to meet both quality and production benchmarks in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Key responsibilities include fabrication functions using power and hand tools, body work on box trucks or trailers, operating cranes and forklifts as needed, installing lighting and wiring, and maintaining a clean work area. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong mathematical skills, the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely, and a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment while meeting productivity goals. This position also demands physical endurance including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, and performing a variety of physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, crawling, and kneeling. Visual acuity including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus is essential. Job Duties
- Performs any fabrication type functions using hand or power tools on the truck body or trailer
- performs body work on box trucks or trailer bodies
- operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes
- installs lights and wiring
- operates forklift as required
- operates saws as required
- moves material with appropriate equipment throughout the work area as needed
- cleans up work area daily
- operates any equipment needed to perform job
- performs related duties as needed by supervision
