Job Description
Oshkosh AeroTech, an Oshkosh company, is a prominent leader in the aviation ground support equipment industry. The company specializes in providing high-quality aviation ground support products, gate equipment, and airport services to a diverse clientele, including commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handling companies, and military customers. With a deep-rooted commitment to innovation, safety, and reliability, Oshkosh AeroTech owns some of the most trusted brands in the air transportation sector like LEKTRO®, JetAire®, JetPower®, AmpTekÔ®, and Jetway®. These brands are renowned for their durability and performance in demanding environments, supporting professionals who perform some of the most challenging work in the aviation industry.
As an integral part of the Oshkosh Corporation, Oshkosh AeroTech fosters a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and excellence. The company values teamwork, quality workmanship, and a safety-first mindset, making it an ideal employer for dedicated professionals looking to grow their careers in industrial manufacturing and aviation support services.
The role of an Assembler Technician at Oshkosh AeroTech is critical in delivering these high-quality products that meet stringent customer and industry standards. This role involves assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components into finished industrial assemblies with precision and accuracy. Working with hand tools, powered tools, and material handling equipment, the Assembler Technician interprets blueprints, product specifications, and technical documentation to ensure assemblies conform to exacting standards.
In this position, you will be actively engaged in understanding multiple work center requirements and manufacturing disciplines. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting assembly issues, working closely with support departments to implement corrective actions, and contributing to daily management activities and problem-solving initiatives within the team. The role requires you to use various hand and power tools for making mechanical and electrical connections, performing self-audits of assembled work, and maintaining high levels of quality and safety throughout the assembly process.
The Assembler Technician works collaboratively as part of a diverse and multicultural team to meet daily production goals, supporting the company's commitment to efficient manufacturing processes and continuous improvement. You will also play a role in safety and quality non-conformance reporting, and have opportunities to participate in projects that drive innovation and operational excellence.
Oshkosh AeroTech values attention to detail, strong judgment skills, and a proactive approach to work, offering an environment that encourages growth, responsible decision-making, and respect for all employees. Candidates with at least five years of experience in medium to heavy mechanical assembly, proficiency in blueprint reading, and the ability to operate both mechanical and electrical tooling will find this role rewarding and challenging.
Oshkosh AeroTech is devoted to creating a workplace that supports all employees, including those with disabilities, by providing reasonable accommodations during the recruitment process and beyond. As an equal opportunity employer, Oshkosh Corporation ensures fair hiring practices free of discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
The Assembler Technician role represents an outstanding opportunity for qualified candidates to contribute to a respected company whose products support aviation professionals globally. If you are passionate about quality industrial manufacturing and want to be part of a team that makes a difference, Oshkosh AeroTech welcomes your application.
