Job Description

Boeing is a world-renowned aerospace leader known for its commitment to innovation, quality, and safety in the aviation industry. The company revolutionizes how people connect globally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems. Boeing fosters a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous growth, creating a welcoming environment for all its employees. The organization is deeply invested in professional development, providing countless opportunities for career advancement and skill enhancement. With operations spanning major locations worldwide, Boeing plays an integral role in propelling aerospace technology forward and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance at every step.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is currently offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Assembler Installer Doors B based in Renton, Washington. This role forms a vital part of the Joint and Installation teams responsible for assembling and installing key door systems on commercial aircraft. The position emphasizes precision work performed on elevated platforms up to 90 feet high, requiring technical excellence and strict adherence to safety standards. The Assembler Installer Doors B collaborates closely with a skilled group of professionals to transform intricate design schematics into fully functional aircraft doors, directly impacting the operational safety and quality of Boeing airplanes.

The role involves meticulous review of installation plans, drawings, and part specifications, as well as the retrieval and assessment of parts from controlled storage areas. Candidates in this position will use specialized tools to drill, ream, countersink, and fasten components while ensuring proper alignment and fit of door assemblies. Additional responsibilities include applying sealants, conducting vacuum and ultrasonic leak checks, and installing evacuation slides and hardware components critical to passenger safety. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment involving mechanical lifts and collaborative problem-solving to address any modifications or rework required during door installation.

Given the nature of the aerospace assembly industry, the position demands physical stamina and dexterity, including the ability to work at heights and in close proximity to moving parts and potentially hazardous materials. Commitment to compliance with export control laws is mandatory, limiting eligibility to U.S. persons as defined by government regulation. Competitive compensation ranges from $25.32 to $54.76 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Boeing provides an extensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, reflecting their dedication to the well-being of their workforce. This role requires 100% onsite presence and offers an enriching career path within one of aerospace’s most esteemed companies.
