Job Description

Boeing is a globally recognized aerospace leader dedicated to innovation and collaboration with the mission to make the world a better place through excellent engineering and manufacturing. Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a prominent division of the company, is situated in Washington state with key facilities located in Everett and Renton. Known for its cutting-edge aircraft production and commitment to safety, quality, and inclusivity, Boeing fosters a welcoming and respectful work environment that encourages professional growth and development opportunities for its employees. The company is steadfast in its dedication to delivering top-tier aerospace products and services while supporting the career advancement of its workforce through comprehensive training and dynamic challenges.

The role of Assembler Installer within Boeing’s Join and Installation team presents a critical opportunity for individuals who are passionate about aviation and committed to precision craftsmanship. As an Assembler Installer based onsite in Everett or Renton, Washington, you will be entrusted with ensuring the high standards of safety and quality essential in aircraft manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and installation plans, verifying parts and fasteners for correctness, and setting up assembly tools aligned with specific tooling instructions. You will actively participate in aligning and securing aircraft components such as carpets, stowbins, and seats, while operating various hand and power tools to drill, ream, and countersink holes to exact specifications. This role demands precision and technical acumen to apply sealants, adhesives, primers, and corrosion inhibitors appropriately, and to install fasteners correctly using the designated tooling. Exceptional attention to detail is necessary as you will perform pre and post-installation quality inspections to ensure all assemblies meet aviation standards and regulatory compliances.

Working at Boeing as an Assembler Installer means engaging with a skilled team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where safety and quality are non-negotiable values. This position requires physical stamina to handle lifting and maneuvering materials weighing between 10 to 35 pounds and involves various physical motions such as climbing, bending, twisting, and squatting throughout the workday. To comply with export control mandates, candidates must be US persons, which includes US citizens and lawful permanent residents. This is a full-time, onsite position with variable shifts, offering a competitive starting wage of $24.32 per hour with potential earnings up to $53.30 per hour according to the collective bargaining agreement.

Boeing promotes a drug-free workplace and requires applicants to undergo testing. Union representation is provided through the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751), ensuring fair labor practices and a robust support network. The company also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package including competitive pay, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and tuition assistance programs. If you have over one year of manufacturing or related experience, proficiency with detailed instructions, and an aptitude with hand and power tools, this could be the ideal role to advance your aerospace career with Boeing. Boeing embraces diversity and equal opportunity employment, inviting candidates who thrive in collaborative environments to join its mission of aerospace excellence.
