Job Description
Moog, Inc. is a global leader in motion control technology, delivering advanced solutions across various industries including land, sea, air, and space. The company is renowned for pioneering innovative technologies that drive cutting-edge progress for its valued customers worldwide. Operating with a performance culture that empowers its people, Moog emphasizes trust, collaboration, and problem-solving, creating an environment where employees can thrive while contributing to impactful technical advancements. The Space and Defense Group (SDG), Moog's longest-standing operating division, continues to be a hub of evolving markets and technological developments, offering excellent career opportunities in a dynamic setting. Located in Salt Lake City, UT, the SDG team is actively seeking an Assembler III to join their Manufacturing Assembly and Test team.
As an Assembler III at Moog's Salt Lake City facility, you will play an essential role in supporting the manufacturing process that contributes to high-quality aerospace products. Reporting directly to the Assembly & Test Supervisor, you will work onsite during the first shift with a 9/80 work schedule (7am - 4pm Monday through Thursday and 7am - 3pm every other Friday), which promotes work-life balance by providing every other Friday off. This role requires hands-on engagement with setting up, operating, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery to ensure efficient production flow. You will be responsible for installing components, moving and sorting materials, and monitoring output quality to identify and address any production faults promptly.
The Assembler III position demands a strong attention to detail and organized work practices to ensure that the manufacturing environment remains clean and efficient. You will maintain accurate daily production records that feed into broader manufacturing performance analysis. Cross-training on multiple production lines is integral to this role, enabling you to support and guide your fellow team members, and occasionally step into leadership roles for training purposes. With opportunities to train for final inspection, this role offers significant potential for professional growth within Moog’s supportive and family-like work culture. The Salt Lake City facility provides competitive hourly compensation ranging from $25.00 to $29.00, alongside numerous benefits such as bonuses, a matching 401(k) plan, and employee stock purchase options at select locations.
