The role we are hiring for is the Assembler II position, based in our Racine facility in Mt Pleasant, Wisconsin. This is a third shift (11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Sunday to Thursday) hourly position starting at $20 per hour. The Assembler II plays a crucial role in assembling parts and components according to detailed work instructions and drawings. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to complete critical assemblies accurately and efficiently, with potential rotation across various assembly tasks within the facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling parts using various hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic tools. You will also work with specialized equipment like laser etchers, dot peen etchers, and engravers to customize assemblies per customer specifications. Handling basic printing programs to fulfill customer orders is expected, as well as utilizing production systems to record activities and navigate inventory screens. The position demands initiative to prioritize tasks and collaborate closely with team leads and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.

Your contributions will further support our continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will also have the opportunity to train others in the department and apply Lean and 5S methodologies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace environment.

The Assembler II position is ideal for individuals with a high school degree or GED, preferably with over three years of assembly or manufacturing experience. Our ideal candidate understands critical assembly practices such as gluing and centering to specific tolerances and can handle test equipment like function generators and multimeters if applicable. A basic proficiency with computers, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office, is required.

Working conditions include a manufacturing environment where physical tasks may involve lifting up to 60 pounds, and an audiogram test may be necessary. Those working in the aerospace department must pass vision, color vision, and depth perception tests. The role requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina, and the ability to wear personal protective gear throughout the workday.
