The Mechanical Assembly Operator role at TTM Technologies focuses on performing assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies, emphasizing mechanical operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining high production standards by using various hand tools and measuring devices to handle mechanical assembly tasks and performing routine maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition. Operators are responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards by operating test equipment to conduct pass/fail tests and maintaining clear communication within the team through various channels including shift meetings and written logs.
Employees in this role work primarily on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the East Syracuse, NY facility. TTM’s commitment to quality extends to supporting operators with detailed instructions and visual aids, fostering a clean, safe, and productive work environment. The role requires accuracy, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented setting. This job also involves compliance with export control regulations pertinent to handling ITAR-restricted products and sensitive technical data to ensure legal and ethical manufacturing practices.
Compensation for this role ranges between $35,127 and $55,524 annually, with potential bonuses and shift premiums based on assignment and performance. New hires are eligible for a 90-day evaluation period that includes a potential pay increase if performance metrics are met. The role is ideal for candidates with at least one year of manufacturing assembly experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, offering a stable career path in a dynamic and globally respected company.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing assembly experience
- Ability to perform routine mechanical assembly operations using fixtures and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to maintain clean and safe work environment
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Willingness to comply with export control policies and regulations including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC
- Ability to work 1st shift Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use measuring tools and test equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of manufacturing assembly experience
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Proficient use and familiarity with hand tools
- Basic mechanical skills
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, including visual aids and drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong skills navigating computer screens, folder paths, and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with GD&T is a plus
- Limited soldering skills may be required
Job Duties
- Perform maintenance tasks to maintain equipment in good condition
- Operate test equipment to perform pass/fail product tests
- Communicate daily with team members and supervisor through shift meetings, email, log book, and other written and verbal methods
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment
- Interpret and follow verbal and written work orders
- Use various measuring tools as required
- Offer suggestions to improve and enhance processes
- Report any problems, defective materials, questionable conditions or unsafe conditions to supervisor or leader
- Provide high quality and timely service to all internal customers
- Take personal ownership of internal and external customer issues
