The role of Assembler, Boards at Crystal Group is an essential component of the Operations Department, focusing on the precise assembly and inspection of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic devices. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with no travel required, providing a stable and consistent work schedule. Reporting to the Supervisor of Boards, the assembler plays a critical role in ensuring that all soldering and assembly tasks meet rigorous quality standards. Primary responsibilities include through-hole soldering, hand-soldering electronic components on PCBs following detailed technical diagrams and assembly instructions, and assisting with surface-mount technology (SMT) line operations as well as selective soldering equipment as necessary.
Working in a manufacturing environment, the assembler uses a variety of precision tools such as microscopes, soldering irons, and testing equipment to deliver high-quality, defect-free boards. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions carefully. The assembler is also expected to uphold strict compliance with anti-static (ESD) policies, safety protocols, ISO procedures, and foreign object debris (FOD) protection standards. Additionally, the position demands independent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team setting.

Job Requirements
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a 'protected person')
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- willing to work full-time, on-site Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
- ability to follow detailed technical instructions and complete tasks with precision
- willingness to comply with all safety and quality standards and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- proven experience in PCB soldering with a solid understanding of electronic components and circuit design
- proficient in using soldering tools, microscopes, and testing equipment
- strong interpersonal and communication skills to share and receive instructions and updates
- maintains high attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
- familiarity with ESD policies, safety practices, and ISO procedures
Job Duties
- Reads and works from detailed process sheets and drawings
- computer skills are required to retrieve drawings, work instructions, and support other job activities
- solders electronic components onto PCBs following technical diagrams and assembly instructions
- conducts visual inspections and uses testing equipment to verify solder joint quality
- identifies and troubleshoots soldering defects, making necessary repairs or adjustments
- applies strong problem-solving skills and works independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- sets up, operates, and maintains machinery according to instructions
- complies with ESD policies, safety practices, ISO procedures, and FOD protection requirements
- accurately enters and maintains production records
- assists in the operation of selective solder machines and SMT line as needed
- performs effectively in a diverse team environment
