The Refrigeration System Assembler position at ITW is an essential role responsible for assembling parts and installing various refrigeration system components into refrigerated and heated units. This position demands precision and technical aptitude in reading and interpreting job instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate assembly and installation. The assembler will handle tasks such as measuring, cutting, wiring, soldering, bending, and crimping components while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Working in a fast-paced production environment, the assembler will operate machinery like spot welding and punch machines, assemble hinges, brackets, and gaskets, as well as perform component installation in units according to rigorous quality standards. A key aspect of the role involves troubleshooting and repairing defective parts, conducting tests to verify integrity, and preparing units for finishing processes such as foaming and cleaning.

Additionally, the assembler contributes to the packaging and shipping process by verifying serial tags, labeling, and ensuring compliance with shipping documentation. The role requires physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy components up to 35 pounds (with assistance for heavier items), and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use various hand and power tools are crucial to successfully fulfilling job responsibilities.

Operating within a team-oriented environment, the assembler will collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to maintain smooth workflows, uphold safety standards, and meet production deadlines. ITW offers a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime as needed.
