The role of the Assembler at DwyerOmega is an essential position within the Industrial Machining department, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. As an hourly, regular full-time (RFT) position offering a salary range of $18.50-$21.50 per hour, this role demands precision, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The Assembler will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations of light to moderate complexity to support production goals. Tasks involve preparation, cleaning, and organization of parts and components prior to assembly; fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components using job orders, drawings, and other documentation; and basic functional testing including dielectric and insulation resistance tests.
This position requires the ability to rework and repair non-conforming production assemblies following established procedures and a commitment to workplace safety through participation in safety training and prompt reporting of unsafe conditions. The Assembler will uphold both safety and quality responsibilities by understanding and supporting company policies, taking preventive actions against quality deficiencies, and escalating quality concerns for timely corrective action. Communication skills are also important, with candidates expected to communicate effectively in English and maintain professional and collaborative relationships within the work environment.
Work is conducted in a manufacturing and production environment involving regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, test equipment, adhesives, solvents, and potting materials while using required personal protective equipment (PPE). The role includes physical requirements such as standing or sitting for extended periods, repetitive hand and wrist movements, fine motor skills, and the ability to lift materials up to 25 pounds. Candidates should have the capability to read detailed assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and computer screens, with or without corrective lenses.

Job Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or repair of electro-mechanical devices, instruments, or units preferred
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- demonstrated manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude including proficient use of hand tools
- ability to perform repetitive assembly, testing, and potting operations with consistency and accuracy
- ability to read and follow general procedures, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams
- ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures with minimal supervision
- ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production or manufacturing environment while maintaining quality and efficiency
Job Duties
