The role of Panel Builder / Mechanical Assembler at Foresight Automation involves a combination of electrical panel assembly, mechanical fabrication, and enclosure modification tasks. This position requires individuals who are meticulous in approach, skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and committed to maintaining high craftsmanship standards. Panel Builders are responsible for building electrical control panels that incorporate key components such as terminal blocks, contactors, drives, PLCs, and power supplies, ensuring all wiring is properly routed, terminated, labeled, and dressed according to company standards. Mechanical assembly duties include constructing subcomponents, bracket installations, and fitting hardware to precise specifications while performing functional mechanical checks. This multifaceted role also requires modification of panel enclosures through cutting, drilling, and layout adjustments to accommodate pushbuttons, vents, and cable entries.

In addition to assembly and modification tasks, the Panel Builder supports production of standardized Power Panel (SuperBox) products by assembling high-current components, bus bar assemblies, and following strict production flow processes. The role involves quality assurance activities such as visual inspections, continuity tests, and thorough documentation of build issues or suggestions for process improvement. Working within a team-oriented environment, candidates are expected to communicate effectively with project leads, engineers, and procurement to resolve material shortages or design discrepancies. This position demands physical stamina including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and fine motor skills for precise assembly work. Safety procedures are paramount and adherence to PPE usage and 5S shop standards is mandatory.
