The current opportunity is for a full-time Assembly Technician position at Bender Inc. In this role, you will be integral to assembling life-saving electrical safety devices, contributing directly to the company’s mission to protect lives and facilities worldwide. Working within a family-oriented culture, you will collaborate with a dedicated team in a well-organized production and warehouse environment. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, hands-on assembly skills, and a commitment to maintaining stringent safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, assembling electrical or electronic systems using various tools, inspecting wiring installations, and packaging finished products correctly. You will also actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S and Kaizen events to enhance workspace efficiency and safety.

The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve fine motor skills and repetitive actions. Job Qualifications
- high school education or GED equivalent
- 1+ year experience with assembly
- 1+ year manufacturing experience
- 2+ years using power tools and hand tools such as drills, saws, screw drivers
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
- ability to pay close attention to detail
- experience with ERP systems entering information from manufacturing
Job Duties
- assemble materials
- read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports
- inspect and assemble wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits
- assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, soldering or stud-welding equipment
- pack finished products for shipment
- properly label products and pallets according to specifications
- adjust or repair electrical equipment
- review work activities with supervisor
- work to complete orders in accordance to required delivery date and production schedule
