Job Description

Eaton Corporation, a global leader in power management solutions, is home to the ES AMER ESS division, which specializes in manufacturing electrical products including transformers. This division plays a crucial role in supporting Eaton's mission to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services. Eaton boasts decades of innovation and expertise in the electrical and industrial sectors, delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible products to customers worldwide. The company is committed to diversity, equal opportunity employment, and fostering a culture of inclusion, making it a respected employer in the industry.

The current opportunity is for an Assembler on the 2nd shift within Eaton's transformer manufacturing team located in Waukesha, WI. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $24.45 plus an additional $2.50 shift differential per hour for working the 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm shift. This role is ideally suited for motivated individuals with assembly or manufacturing experience, who desire to develop their hands-on skills in a dynamic and continuous flow production environment. The Assembler will be responsible for building various types of 3-phase transformers, adhering closely to quality standards and production schedules.

The role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret shop specifications such as drawings, process sheets, and use precise measuring tools. Assemblers will work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and shipping departments to ensure the timely completion and delivery of finished products. Duties include building sub-assemblies, conducting important ratio tests on transformers, troubleshooting issues, and safely operating equipment like overhead cranes and power industrial vehicles to move units.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS Assembler position offers a rewarding career path with opportunities for cross-training in other departments, which supports career advancement and compensation growth. The company is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package starting from day one of employment. These benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, vacation time, and a retirement plan. New associates on this shift will receive a sign-on bonus of $2,000, paid in two installments, which serves as an additional incentive to join the Eaton team.

Eaton fosters a safe, inclusive and growth-oriented workplace where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to the company's success. Employees are expected to work efficiently, embrace continuous improvement concepts, and lend support to fellow team members as needed to meet production goals. Eaton is committed to fair hiring practices and supports candidates with diverse backgrounds, including those with prior arrest or conviction history as part of their Second Chance employment initiative.

The position is open to candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI, with exceptions for active-duty military personnel regarding geographic limits. Eaton requires that candidates be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. The overall compensation package, the supportive work environment, and the career growth prospects make this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to launch or continue their career in manufacturing and assembly within the power management industry.
