Job Description
Winchester Interconnect is a leading manufacturer specializing in the production of advanced interconnect solutions for the aerospace, defense, and space industries. Known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and ethical business practices, Winchester Interconnect prides itself on fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment. The company values teamwork, continuous growth, and employee empowerment, ensuring that every team member is integral to the collective success of the organization. With a rich history of supplying mission-critical products that power some of the world’s most sophisticated systems, Winchester Interconnect remains at the forefront of technological advancements while upholding the highest standards of precision and reliability.
The role of Cable Harness Assembler at Winchester Interconnect offers a unique opportunity for skilled individuals to contribute to the manufacturing of complex, high-reliability cable assemblies and wire harnesses used in cutting-edge aerospace, defense, and space applications. This hands-on position requires working with detailed technical drawings and instructions to perform specialized tasks such as soldering, crimping, and routing wire harnesses with precision and care. Employees in this role will experience a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment characterized by a high mix of low-volume production runs where quality and compliance are paramount.
As a Cable Harness Assembler, you will report directly to the Production Lead and be responsible for ensuring that all assemblies meet stringent workmanship standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610. This role requires proficiency with hand tools including crimpers, wire strippers, and soldering irons, and knowledge of electro-mechanical and mechanical testing procedures. Having soldering certification such as J-STD-001 is a significant advantage, though not mandatory. The company is committed to pay transparency, with hourly wages ranging from $20.00 to $23.00 depending on experience, plus eligibility for a $2.00 per hour shift differential for second shift work. Additional incentives include referral bonuses and sign-on bonuses, reflecting Winchester Interconnect’s dedication to attracting and retaining top talent.
Working at Winchester means embracing the core values of Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment (ACE), which guide employees to take ownership of their work, collaborate effectively with their team, and innovate boldly to drive continuous improvement. The company also emphasizes workplace safety, quality assurance, and maintaining an organized 5S work environment. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support health, well-being, and professional development. Winchester Interconnect is an equal opportunity employer that fosters diversity and inclusion, prohibits workplace harassment, and supports protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, motivated by quality, and eager to contribute to meaningful and high-impact aerospace and defense projects.
