As a leader in manufacturing electric motors, generators, and drives, Electric Machinery Company has established itself as a premium provider of high-quality electric machinery products. With a strong reputation for precision engineering and robust industrial solutions, the company serves a diverse clientele across various sectors including energy, manufacturing, and industrial applications. The company is committed to innovation, quality standards, and customer satisfaction, proudly operating under ISO 9001 Quality Standards and adhering strictly to OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure workplace safety and environmental responsibility.

The company is seeking dedicated professionals to join their Assembly Team as Assemblers on the 2nd shift, with working hours from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday. This full-time union position offers a competitive salary range starting at $20.00 per hour, with potential compensation up to $25.00 per hour depending on experience, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift employees. In addition to hourly wages, the company offers voluntary weekend overtime with Saturday paid at time and a half and Sunday at double time, providing excellent earning opportunities.

The Assembler role is crucial in the manufacturing process, responsible for assembling various components of motors, generators, and drives with precision and efficiency. This position requires working closely within a team environment and utilizing the Assembly Team skills matrix, which highlights the comprehensive assembly competencies expected from all team members. Duties include assembling rotor assemblies on synchronous, induction/turbo, and laminated spider jobs, exciter rotors and stators, rectifier assemblies, and final assembly of synchronous, vertical, turbo generators, and induction motors. Additional responsibilities include fabricating and assembling conduit and piping, performing arc welding on assemblies and sub-assemblies, setting up and operating balancing stands, and handling name plates and green tags on equipment.

The role demands a commitment to continuous improvement by identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance day-to-day operations and manufacturing quality. Employees must follow stringent quality assurance and customer documentation procedures and demonstrate the ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and jib cranes. Physical requirements for this role include regularly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders and stairs, working at heights, and maneuvering in confined spaces. The position requires repetitive motion activities such as operating machinery and power tools, often standing or sitting for long periods, and moving between workstations.

Electric Machinery Company offers a rich benefits package designed to support employee well-being and professional growth. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility from day one, a 401K plan with company matching available after the first month of employment, quarterly bonus program opportunities, and 13 company paid holidays. Paid time off accrual, company-paid short and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid life insurance add further security. Employees also receive a paid birthday off policy, a $6,000 annual tuition reimbursement program, company-provided tools, laundered uniforms, safety shoes and glasses, as well as secure free onsite parking.

Please note that the company cannot provide sponsorship for this position, and agencies are kindly asked not to apply.
