With an extensive catalog of over 300,000 state-of-the-art products, DwyerOmega serves industries worldwide by offering advanced solutions for measuring and controlling temperature, humidity, pressure, strain, force, flow, level, pH, conductivity, and indoor air quality. Their commitment to driving process efficiency and creating safe, sustainable environments positions them as an industry leader and a pioneer in digital marketing of technical products.
Headquartered in Michigan City, Indiana, and Norwalk, Connecticut, DwyerOmega operates multiple manufacturing facilities and sales offices around the world. The company fosters a culture centered on technological innovation, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement. Their workplace values ingenuity, empowerment, accountability, adaptability, and speed to respond effectively to dynamic market demands.
The Assembler position at DwyerOmega is an hourly, regular full-time role within the Industrial Machining department, reporting to the Production Supervisor. This role plays a critical part in supporting production goals by performing electro-mechanical assembly operations of light to moderate complexity. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a strong adherence to safety and quality standards. Assemblers prepare and organize parts prior to assembly, accurately follow assembly drawings and job orders, and conduct functional testing such as dielectric and insulation resistance testing to ensure product quality.
Assemblers are also responsible for reworking and repairing any non-conforming assemblies, participating in safety training programs, and reporting any unsafe conditions promptly. The role demands the ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent quality and consistency. The work environment is a manufacturing setting with exposure to mechanical parts, electrical components, adhesives, solvents, and noise, all under strict safety controls and mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
Candidates should possess fundamental skills such as manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with hand tools. The ideal assembler has a keen ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision. This position generally requires standing or sitting at assembly workstations for extended periods and the capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20 to $22 and embraces DwyerOmega's commitment to fair and transparent compensation policies. The company encourages open discussions about pay and maintains a supportive work environment to foster employee growth and satisfaction.
