The current opportunity is for a dynamic individual to join the manufacturing team at Teledyne Reynolds as a Cable Assembly Technician. This role involves working closely with intricate components, such as integrated circuits, contacts, wires, and connectors to build and assemble complex cable and wiring solutions for high-stakes environments. The technician will interpret worksheets and wiring diagrams, mold cable assemblies while monitoring vital indicators like temperature and pressure, and utilize a variety of hand and power tools to perform detailed assembly and finishing tasks. Responsibilities extend to performing quality checks, removing excess material from molded components, and using microscopes for inspection and soldering work where necessary.
Candidates for this position will thrive in a precise, detail-oriented environment where adherence to instructions and procedures is essential. The role requires excellent manual dexterity, the ability to work with small tools and intricate components like tweezers, pliers, soldering irons, and electrical test equipment, as well as strong communication skills. It offers an estimated salary range of $34,300 to $45,700 annually, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as location, education, experience, and skills. Job Qualifications

- ability to read and understand blueprints
- ability to learn and perform mechanical, electrical and swage testing
- ability to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams
- selects components such as integrated circuits, contacts, wires, and connectors
- molds cable assemblies while monitoring temperature, pressure, and visual indicators
- removes flash from molded cable assemblies using hand tools
- uses hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc.
- inspects parts and performs basic tests
- performs assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding parts and assemblies
- performs work under microscope including soldering and inspection
- ensures quality checks are completed throughout manufacturing process
- records information on production records, logs, and other report forms
- provides basic training and instruction to lower-level assemblers on assignments
