Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is a renowned global leader in the manufacturing of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components. These components play a critical role in innovative designs across several high-impact industries including automotive, industrial, computing, consumer electronics, telecommunications, military, aerospace, and medical markets. As a Fortune 1000 company listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol VSH, Vishay is committed to enabling the world’s most in-demand technologies, making it possible for innovations to touch lives globally every single day.
Vishay’s position in the technology sector is solidified by its expansive portfolio, which is among the largest in the world. The company’s products integrate seamlessly into devices and systems that many depend on, albeit often unknowingly. To support this, Vishay is continuously seeking talented individuals to join its team and contribute to "The DNA of tech®." This phrase encapsulates Vishay’s mission to be an integral part of technology’s foundational journey.
The current opportunity at Vishay Spectrol, a division of Vishay, is for a Temporary Assembler. This role is essential within the manufacturing process, focusing on the assembly of potentiometers. These small but vital electronic components are manufactured using bench top equipment and precise microscope assembly processes on the production line. The role requires versatility as the assembler may perform multiple tasks within micro assembly on a daily basis, test completed units to meet specifications, and assist with various manufacturing and logistical duties.
Located in Ontario, California—an area known as "The Next Urban Center" and conveniently close to the vibrant Greater Los Angeles Area—the role offers a dynamic setting enriched with cultural diversity, entertainment, and lifestyle benefits. The Temporary Assembler is expected to be on-site, actively participating in the hands-on assembly and testing operations.
The position pays between $16 - $18 per hour, depending on experience, providing a competitive rate within the region. The job emphasizes technical assembly skills complemented by an understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and use of inspection tools. Additionally, candidates need to demonstrate good communication skills and manual dexterity.
Vishay values diversity and practices equal employment opportunities free from discrimination and harassment on various protected bases including race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and veteran status. The role also requires that applicants be "U.S. Persons" as defined by U.S. federal law due to access to sensitive information under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Choosing a career with Vishay means joining an organization that prioritizes a collaborative and inclusive culture, stability, and career development opportunities both locally and globally. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' personal and professional goals, ranging from healthcare to financial assistance and beyond.
Overall, this role serves as an excellent entry point for individuals interested in joining a leading technology company that shapes the future of electronic components. The Temporary Assembler position enables participants to hone technical skills, engage with cutting-edge manufacturing processes, and contribute to pivotal technology sectors worldwide. If you are detail-oriented, capable of precise manual work, and eager to contribute to a tech-forward company, Vishay invites you to apply for this vibrant and rewarding role.
