The Assembler 2 role at Gentex is a critical position within the company's manufacturing operations, centered on electro-mechanical assembly. This role is responsible for constructing situational awareness products of varying complexities in a fast-paced environment. The assembler must skillfully interpret work instructions and engineering drawings to accurately produce high-quality products. This position demands precision, technical competence, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • soldering experience is preferred
  • previous mechanical assembly experience required
  • previous electrical assembly experience required

Job Duties

  • Adhere to company's policies and procedures as directed
  • assemble product correctly in a timely manner while ensuring product quality
  • assemble product following work instructions and engineering drawings
  • follow the direction of assigned line lead and supervisor in order to establish priorities
  • function as a member of a high performing team to accomplish a common goal
  • operate manual, semi-automated, automated and computer-based equipment as required
  • may be required to support other work cells or areas as necessary
  • perform electrical assembly to J-STD-001 (Class 1, 2 or 3) as required
  • competent to proficient knowledge, execution and navigation of quality and documentation related systems
  • participate in continuous improvement activities in a team atmosphere (5S, Kaizen, Brainstorming)
