Job Description
Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division, part of the global power management company Eaton Corporation, is currently seeking a dedicated Assembler for the 1st Shift (Packaging) at their Reno, NV facility. Eaton is a multinational company known for delivering energy-efficient solutions that help customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift required weights
- Willingness to engage in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
- Must comply with safety standards and wear personal protective equipment
- Must reside within 50-mile radius of Reno, NV or be active-duty military
Job Qualifications
- No relocation benefit is offered
- Candidates must be within 50-mile radius of Reno, NV unless active-duty military
- Eaton will not sponsor immigration visas
- Ability to stand continuously during shift with or without accommodation
- Ability to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance and occasionally lift more with assistance
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in high noise and high traffic areas
- Fine hand manipulation skills with repetitive motion
Job Duties
- Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
- Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices
- Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
- Pick, pack, and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
- Maintain work areas clean and safe
- Support all facility continuous improvement and lean initiatives including maintaining 5-S
- Track and sustain all visual management tools such as layered audits and OEE boards
- Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility
- Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
