The Assembler - 1st Shift position at Eaton offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on the assembly of complex switchgear products. This role is based on the first shift, running from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with a competitive hourly wage of $22.50. The assembler will work with a variety of components, following bill of materials and technical prints to ensure the quality and functionality of each product. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum six months of manufacturing, military, or related experience
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the work location or be an active duty military member
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship
  • Ability to walk or stand for an eight-hour shift with or without accommodation
  • Ability to lift and push/pull up to 48 pounds with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum six months of manufacturing, military, or related experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP or similar applications
  • Flexibility to perform multiple job functions within the department
  • Preferred one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Trades training or equivalent in soldering, brazing, electronic terminology, and electrical circuits

Job Duties

  • Perform light, medium, and heavy-duty assembly operations
  • Conduct Hi-Pot and functional testing on switchgear products
  • Operate epoxy injection molding equipment
  • Follow established working procedures
  • Set up workstation to facilitate easier assembly
  • Complete paperwork, enter labor data, and confirm production
  • Screen defective parts, make adjustments, and report concerns to team leaders
  • Interact with other departments for advice and decision-making
  • Assist quality assurance and engineering teams with problem-solving
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
