The Assembly Worker role at JLG is critical in maintaining this high standard of product quality and operational safety. The position involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment where assembly tasks span across multiple product lines. As an Assembly Worker, you will be responsible for safely assembling various parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG and Jerr-Dan products using both manual and power tools. This role demands precision and attention to detail when following instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders to ensure products meet rigorous quality and safety standards. Your daily activities will include installing accessories like decals, cameras, and lights, operating overhead cranes, and using hand and pneumatic tools. JLG emphasizes safety and quality, so maintaining a clean work area and compliance with safety standards such as 6S are mandatory.

Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site
- Physical ability to perform repetitive motions, stand for extended periods, lift/carry up to 35 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area
Job Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, blueprints, or work instructions
- Comfortable using various hand and power tools
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly processes
Job Duties
- Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques
- Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights
- Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts
- Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy
- Measure accurately using tools like tape measures
- Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components
- Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions
- Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo
- team lift up to 60 lbs)
- Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed
- Follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards
- Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards
