The company is renowned for its strong brand presence and exceptional customer loyalty, continually delivering customized product solutions that precisely meet and often exceed the unique needs of its clients. With a vast product portfolio of over 300,000 state-of-the-art items, DwyerOmega offers technology for measuring and controlling temperature, humidity, pressure, strain, force, flow, level, pH, conductivity, and indoor air quality. Their products play a critical role in enhancing process efficiency across various industries, enabling safer and more sustainable environments worldwide. The company’s headquarters operate from Michigan City, Indiana, and Norwalk, Connecticut, with multiple manufacturing facilities and sales offices distributed globally.
At DwyerOmega, the commitment extends beyond product excellence to fostering a culture defined by ingenuity, empowerment, accountability, adaptability, and speed. The company’s expert engineering team supports customers by providing technically advanced, often tailored solutions to address highly specific application challenges. This dedication to technology and continuous improvement positions DwyerOmega as a trusted partner to companies seeking reliable instrumentation and automation components.
The role of Assembler within DwyerOmega’s Industrial Machining department is an hourly, regular full-time (RFT) position. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Assembler is critical to the electro-mechanical assembly operations that ensure the production line meets its goals efficiently and with precision. This role involves assembling electro-mechanical components of light to moderate complexity, demanding a high level of manual dexterity, attention to detail, and adherence to rigorous safety and quality standards.
Assemblers at DwyerOmega are responsible for preparing and organizing parts before assembly, performing fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components following detailed job orders, drawings, and other documentation. They carry out basic functional testing including dielectric and insulation resistance to ensure assemblies meet quality requirements before moving forward. The position also entails reworking and repairing non-conforming products in a safe manner, actively participating in safety training programs, and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents.
Safety and quality are cornerstones of the role, with responsibilities including understanding and enforcing the company’s quality policies, taking proactive measures to prevent defects and product escapes, and elevating quality concerns through established channels. The Assembler role demands excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and the ability to maintain positive and collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
DwyerOmega offers a transparent and fair compensation structure, with this role’s salary ranging from $18.50 to $21.50 per hour, reflecting location, experience, and internal equity. The company encourages open discussions regarding pay throughout the hiring process. This position offers an opportunity for candidates who are detail-oriented, skilled with hand tools, and eager to contribute to a globally impactful manufacturing environment. Joining DwyerOmega means becoming a part of an innovative and supportive company dedicated to improving the world one measurement at a time.
