The Asphalt Tanker Driver position is an integral part of H&K Group's Materials Division, categorized under contracting and focusing on transporting liquid asphalt safely and efficiently. This role is based in Skippack, Pennsylvania, and requires a dedicated Class A CDL driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, specifically for handling liquid asphalt. As an Asphalt Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining tanker trucks, complying with all federal, state, and company safety regulations, including FMCSA guidelines. Daily duties include logging truck hours, pre and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading the asphalt tanker, and clear communication with supervisors to ensure delivery accuracy. H&K seeks reliable and attentive individuals who are capable of managing the physical demands of the job, including lifting and movement, and who can work a flexible schedule that might include second shift hours. Job Requirements

  • Class A CDL
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement for liquid asphalt
  • one year of commercial driving experience
  • able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule
  • ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • ability to meet physical requirements including movement and lifting

  • one year of commercial driving experience
  • verbal and written communication skills
  • able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule
  • problem solving
  • ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • ability to meet physical requirements including movement and lifting
  • high school diploma or equivalent such as GED from an accredited educational institution
  • 3+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • TWIC card preferred
  • experience in quarry, heavy civil construction, or outdoor industrial setting preferred
  • strong preference for asphalt plant or heavy road construction experience
  • OSHA or relevant safety certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Performs all work according to FMCSA and H&
  • K safety policies
  • drives truck to destination and prepares receipts for load picked up
  • maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
  • maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
  • loads and unloads truck
  • performs daily pre and post trip of vehicle
  • other duties as assigned
