This role is for a Room Attendant/Housekeeper at a hotel, focusing on maintaining cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas to ensure hotel standards are consistently met. The Room Attendant/Housekeeper is expected to demonstrate a positive and optimistic attitude aimed at delivering excellent customer service and cleaning quality. The role includes maintaining a professional appearance by wearing the approved uniform and name tag while ensuring confidentiality and trust with guests. The attendant must work with a sense of urgency, completing assigned rooms promptly to meet time objectives, while thoroughly cleaning and stocking each room. Duties include changing linens, replenishing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, disposing of trash, cleaning bathrooms, and polishing furniture and appliances. Moreover, the role involves maintaining communication with the Head of Housekeeping regarding room status, greeting guests warmly, and strictly complying with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Safety training and adherence to handling chemical products responsibly are also essential parts of the job.

Additionally, the attendant should keep work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked, follow step-by-step procedures methodically, assess and report any room deficiencies such as furniture or flooring damage, and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions. Other responsibilities include assisting with annual deeper-cleaning tasks, managing lost and found items per company protocol, helping new staff members acclimate, fostering a positive work environment, and having knowledge of the hotel's products and services including food, beverage, and recreational offerings. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the hotel’s reputation for cleanliness and guest satisfaction, making the room attendant a key member of the hospitality and housekeeping team.
