This full-time position at Harmons is centered on the artisan bread category within the bakery department, offering an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about quality baked goods and exceptional service. The role is designed for individuals who enjoy working with artisan breads and have a keen interest in educating and building relationships with customers. The artisan bread specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks including cutting and slicing artisan breads using appropriate tools, preparing, baking, packaging crostini, stocking the artisan bread counter, and sampling products throughout the store. This role requires excellent customer service skills paired with a solid understanding of baking procedures, bread ingredients, and the ability to promote and sell products effectively.

Working at the artisan bread counter, the employee will ensure that all products meet Harmons’ high standards for freshness and quality. Responsibilities also include maintaining attractive display areas, ensuring accurate pricing and signage, removing older products, tracking waste, and consistently working to enhance the customer’s experience and satisfaction. The position demands open availability including weekends and holidays, underscoring the importance of flexibility within this role.

Candidates for this role should have at least a high school diploma or GED, with preferred bakery or sales experience, demonstrating an ability to handle various bakery products with care and enthusiasm.
