Job Requirements
- Maintain standing position, walk and sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Twist, pull, stoop, and reach overhead and below knees
- Capable of performing activities on uneven terrains, including stairs and ramps
- Follow standardized recipes and safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
Job Qualifications
- Fulfillment of high school diploma or GED requirements
- Less than a year of specific background in baking, pastry-making, or kitchen duties
- None required for licenses or certifications
- No supervisory experience needed
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake various types of goods, like pastries, bread, desserts, and similar items, following standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Scale out, combine, portion, and prep elements for daily baking operations
- Securely operate and upkeep baking equipment and tools according to regulations
- Monitor ovens and kitchen machinery to confirm correct cooking periods and temperature controls
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation policies by correctly storing food items, practicing good personal hygiene, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Complete workstation setup and breakdown procedures according to kitchen rules
- Make sure each batch meets required standards of food quality and consistency
- Prioritize cleanliness, safety, and organization of bakery/kitchen environment
- Engage in professional communication with team members and guests
- Assist co-workers and contribute to a supportive team culture
- Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by managers
