The Culinary Director position at Arrow Senior Living’s Cleveland Market is a full-time opportunity that offers not only competitive compensation with a salary range of $59,800 to $86,840, plus up to $4,000 annually in performance-based bonuses, but also a rewarding career path within a company deeply committed to professional growth. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication is essential to manage documentation and correspondence effectively.

Job Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Preferably three (3) years of experience in senior housing or related field
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Completed formal culinary or food service training or equivalent experience
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to send, receive, and forward email
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day
- Ability to frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors for events
- Good physical and mental health verified by recent health screening
- Freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis verified annually
- Criminal clearance
Job Qualifications
- Formal culinary, food service or restaurant training or equivalent supervisory/management work experience
- Demonstrated leadership, training, and supervision skills
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with management and staff
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to create, modify, and print documents
- Knowledge of portion control and waste minimization techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Oversee culinary department in providing consistent, exceptional, five-star service in both front and back of house
- Ensure food items are prepared to culinary standards and provide residents with an exceptional dining experience while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
- Develop menus of delicious seasonal and mainstay choices based off resident preferences and needs utilizing fresh foods
- Lead, train, and supervise the culinary team to maintain high standards of quality and service
- Manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting to align with operational goals and reduce waste
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with other departments to support events and special dining needs
