The Vault Custodian will primarily work the 2nd shift, from 1 pm to close, Monday through Friday with some Saturdays as needed. As a Vault Custodian, you will hold a pivotal responsibility in distributing and receiving moneybags, receipts, route guides, keys, and schedules to Driver/Messengers and Crew Leaders ensuring the smooth operation of daily cash logistics routes. This position requires an individual with a high level of trustworthiness and attention to detail because you are directly managing large amounts of currency and sensitive materials. You are also responsible for verifying bulk money received from the vault and external sources, reconciling route discrepancies, assisting with tracking missing items, and maintaining accurate records and reports of activities. Additionally, you will provide leadership in training new personnel and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

This position is armed and requires the Vault Custodian to qualify for and maintain relevant permits or licenses to carry a sidearm. Compliance with individual state regulations regarding guard licensing is mandatory. The role also entails a need for a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicles operated with periodic adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. This role is not only about managing cash but also ensuring that employees, clients, and the public are treated courteously and professionally at all times.

Due to the dynamic nature of the cash logistics industry, Vault Custodians may be required to step into other roles such as Driver/Messenger or Crew Leader as operational needs dictate, making adaptability and a willingness to assume varied responsibilities essential qualities.
