Area Supervisors are expected to foster a safe and secure environment by staying vigilant on the sales floor, managing the security of the store including entrance and exit controls and electronic surveillance systems, and responding promptly to emergencies. Customer service excellence is a key focus, where maintaining professionalism and treating customers, associates, and leadership with respect create a positive store atmosphere. The role demands attention to detail in merchandising, including recovery, markdowns, inventory receiving, and compliance with presentation guidelines. Loss prevention awareness is paramount to reduce theft and damage, and Area Supervisors hold responsibility for diligent loss prevention practices while supporting a strong customer presence on the floor.
Front-end operation supervision is another critical area of responsibility, entailing training associates on cash register procedures, managing customer wait times, supervising break schedules, and ensuring all front-end equipment operates smoothly. The maintenance and cleanliness of fitting rooms, adherence to merchandise tagging policies, and ensuring proper handling of returned items are also under their direct supervision. Area Supervisors assist in administrative tasks related to cash handling, payroll compliance, and other duties assigned by the Store Manager. Overall, this role requires balancing operational oversight with leadership development and fostering a collaborative team environment aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This position offers a base pay range of $23.07 to $23.57 per hour, dependent on experience, skills, and other factors, combined with a competitive benefits package aimed at supporting employee well-being and career advancement.
