Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three plus years cooking experience in a high-volume food service establishment
  • Experience training kitchen staff in culinary techniques or other kitchen duties
  • Ability to work variable hours and days and fill in at communities as needed
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to pass DSHS background check
  • ServSafe Certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Food Handler's Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide support to community food service teams by covering absences of Culinary Services Directors
  • Assume functional lead position in kitchen operations
  • Direct kitchen staff and ensure all culinary duties are complete
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of leftovers
  • Assist with training kitchen staff in culinary techniques and kitchen duties
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Collaborate with management to maintain high-quality food service
