Job Description
Lennar is one of the nation’s leading homebuilders, renowned for its commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and community impact. As a Fortune 500® company, Lennar is recognized among the top homebuilders in the United States, dedicating itself to creating extraordinary experiences for Homeowners, Communities, and Associates. With a culture that emphasizes opportunity and career growth, Lennar fosters an environment where its team members can thrive and succeed. The company prioritizes giving back to the communities in which it operates and lives through its continued commitment to quality homes and exceptional customer service.
The Area Sales Manager role at Lennar is a critical position responsible for driving sales performance and enhancing profit margins within a designated geographic area. This role involves assembling and managing a top-tier sales team, ensuring that the team is effectively staffed, trained, and motivated. The Area Sales Manager works closely with the division's operations team to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining alignment with overall business objectives. This position is ideal for sales professionals with a proven track record in new home sales management, particularly those who have experience working with homebuilders.
As an Area Sales Manager, the individual will lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a results-driven culture while promoting accountability and a collaborative work environment. The role includes mentoring New Home Consultants, conducting performance appraisals, and providing ongoing coaching to help team members achieve individual and collective success. The Area Sales Manager is also responsible for overseeing all sales department activities, adapting strategies based on product offerings, market demands, and customer segments to maximize sales effectiveness and market coverage.
This position requires regular community visits to offer on-site leadership, assess operational effectiveness, and refine sales strategies to boost engagement and performance. The role also involves organizing promotional events to enhance community ties and open new sales opportunities. Facilitating and leading sales meetings will be a central part of ensuring team alignment with corporate initiatives and maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Additionally, the Area Sales Manager will monitor mortgage statuses and manage closing processes, ensuring smooth transactions through effective coordination with buyers, lenders, and internal teams. Collaboration with the Director of Sales to resolve homeowner concerns and adjust market strategies ensures that the sales team remains competitive and responsive to changes in the marketplace.
Lennar values professionalism and communication skills, expecting the Area Sales Manager to handle conflict effectively and maintain positive relationships with associates, homeowners, and the public. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management software is essential to succeed in this role.
Physical demands include regular in-person attendance at communities, sites, and offices, potentially involving working in confined spaces, operating a motor vehicle, and performing physical tasks such as climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds. This role underscores Lennar’s commitment to excellence and leadership in the homebuilding industry, offering a rewarding career path with opportunities for meaningful impact and professional growth.
