The role of Hotel Sales Manager within HHM Hotels is an integral and dynamic position designed to drive the revenue growth of a portfolio of hotel properties by managing key accounts and maximizing guest satisfaction. This career path offers opportunities for advancement from Director of Sales to Area Director of Sales and eventually Regional Director of Sales, reflecting HHM Hotels’ dedication to nurturing talent from within.

In this full-time role, the Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with past, current, and potential clients to ensure all revenue goals are met or surpassed. The manager will lead a team of associates responsible for implementing effective sales strategies in alignment with the brand and hotel standards. This includes interviewing, selecting, training, and coaching team members to perform at high levels of service excellence reflective of HHM’s core values.

The position emphasizes utilizing sophisticated sales techniques to negotiate favorable terms that meet customer needs while protecting the interests of the hotel. Working closely with various internal departments, the sales manager coordinates efforts to service accounts effectively and maintain productive relationships with key clients that lead to increased revenue and guest satisfaction.

Further responsibilities include developing and delivering compelling sales presentations, highlighting the unique benefits of the hotel, and representing the brand at trade shows and professional events. Regular local travel to visit clients and monitor competitive market conditions is required to stay proactive in sales initiatives. The sales manager also undertakes additional duties as requested by hotel management, ensuring agility and responsiveness within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Job Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients
  • use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements
  • manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
  • coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts
  • maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue
  • develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
  • articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities
  • travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition
  • represent hotel at trade shows
  • perform other duties as requested by management
