Job Requirements
- College degree in hotel administration preferred
- 2-3 years hotel sales manager or supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- experience with Marriott brand preferred
- experience with Fosse preferred
- experience with Delphi preferred
- ability to dedicate significant time to telephone solicitation
- strong negotiation skills
- excellent communication abilities
- must pass background and substance abuse screening prior to employment
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Dedicate significant time to direct telephone solicitation sales
- develop new business predominantly from Association Group Market
- meet or exceed assigned revenue goals including rooms, F&B, meeting room rental and incremental revenues
- represent Auro Hotels professionally to clients, guests and business partners
- ensure transactions with guests are handled legally and ethically
- provide prospects with complete and accurate information and negotiate rates to maximize revenue
- develop positive relationships with existing clients and maintain frequent contact with prospective clients
- practice effective revenue and yield management including negotiations and booking
- consult with clients to plan event details
- notify department heads of arrangements to ensure service and satisfaction
- possess strong knowledge of business development, catering, banquet operations, yield management, service standards and hotel knowledge
- execute rate negotiations and contract processing
- maintain lost business report files and track business by market segments
- conduct FAM tours, site inspections and represent Auro Hotels at trade shows and presentations
- conduct group departure interviews and follow-ups
- maintain mailing lists for soliciting future business
- keep abreast of competitive market activities
- meet budgeted sales and profit margins
- assist in annual sales goal development
- complete monthly booking reports
- operate within cost constraints
- prepare proposals with Director of Sales
- contact in-house customers for additional business
- maintain sales information flow within hotel
- attend meetings in absence of Director of Sales
- achieve KSO’s and prepare critiques
- increase sales volume and profitability through marketing plan projects
- ensure maximum occupancy through follow-ups
- resolve business-related problems with other departments
- conduct market analysis and develop special sales activities
- conduct associate meetings and counseling
