Job Description

Aramark is a leading global provider of food services, facilities management, and uniform services, catering to a diverse range of industries including education, healthcare, sports, and business sectors. Founded with a commitment to quality and sustainability, Aramark delivers innovative dining and facility solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. With a strong presence in the United States and internationally, the company is respected for its comprehensive service offerings and dedication to improving the lives of its customers and employees alike. Aramark offers a variety of employment opportunities from entry-level positions to managerial roles, supporting both full-time and part-time employees with a robust benefits package and career growth potential.

The role of Area Operations Manager at Aramark is pivotal in overseeing the overall performance of multiple operations within a designated area to ensure that all departments function efficiently and effectively. This leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies related to dining solutions that cater to customer preferences and needs. The Area Operations Manager manages dining operations where prepared foods are served based on a menu, but the scope also extends to other client services which may include facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more. This role demands an operations leader who not only manages a team to deliver exceptional customer service but also fosters positive client relationships, ensures financial performance, prioritizes safety, and maintains operational efficiency.

As an Area Operations Manager, you will be expected to supervise, coach, and empower teams within your area to maximize productivity while aligning operations with Aramark's Executional Framework to ensure consistent quality and standards. You will play a crucial role in motivating employees through recognition and rewards, maintaining adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, and responding effectively to client needs to ensure satisfaction and operational excellence. Financial management is a key component, involving budgeting, increasing revenue, managing costs related to food, beverages, and labor, and upholding profit and loss accountability.

Operationally, you will implement labor and food initiatives, improve operational efficiency, enforce cost containment practices, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also oversee processes related to food production, transportation, and service, leading your team in daily operational tasks including inventory audits, training, marketing, quality assurance, and sales negotiations. The role requires strong communication skills to maintain excellent rapport with client management and to represent the company in business dealings.

Candidates for this position are expected to have a bachelor's degree along with relevant experience, ideally in K-12 student nutrition, contract services, or the hospitality sector. Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred to better serve diverse client bases. Proven ability to lead a team of managers, enforce financial controls, manage budgets, and drive business growth are essential for success in this role. Aramark values employees who are committed to delivering superior customer service and who thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented work environment.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare coverage (dental, medical, and vision), retirement savings options, paid time off including parental leave and disability coverage. Aramark promotes a culture of inclusion and diversity, offering employees opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a supportive and collaborative environment.
