Job Description

The hiring establishment is a family-oriented franchisee that operates under the renowned McDonald's brand, proudly known for creating a welcoming environment that feels like a family. This McFamily values leadership, teamwork, and the commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Serving the Indianapolis and Lafayette areas, this franchisee is engaged in the fast-food restaurant industry, operating multiple McDonald's locations that emphasize quality, service, and cleanliness. They take pride in their operational excellence and the culture they've built, focusing not just on business results but also on nurturing and developing their teams. This organization provides robust leadership opportunities and encourages growth within the company. They are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join their leadership team, providing a key role in managing multiple restaurant locations with a focus on optimizing restaurant operations, employee development, and customer satisfaction.

The Operations Supervisor role is a full-time position that offers competitive base pay along with bonus opportunities tied to individual and company performance goals. This position demands a seasoned leader who has significant experience within the fast-food or casual dining sector, particularly in restaurant management or district operations. The individual selected will serve as a critical link between the franchise directors and restaurant management teams, guiding General Managers to achieve peak performance through structured coaching, mentoring, and operational oversight. This role comes with the responsibility of ensuring that all restaurants under their supervision meet McDonald's operational standards, including quality, service, cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with labor laws.

The Operations Supervisor champions the McDonald’s "People Promise" by fostering respect, recognition, and leadership behaviors across teams to maintain a positive work culture. They work closely with General Managers to establish performance targets, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement improvement plans as needed. Staffing and talent development are important elements of the job, requiring the supervisor to enforce high standards in the hiring process and identify high-potential individuals for succession planning.

Operationally, this role involves active monitoring of restaurant performance, taking corrective actions when necessary, and supporting General Managers in driving sales, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The supervisor will also coordinate with various departments such as Training, HR, and Marketing to deploy resources effectively. They will be responsible for annual business planning, managing reinvestment plans, and representing the company’s interests in the community, including overseeing the successful execution of new products, promotions, and test strategies.

Physical demands include being able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, with the work environment fluctuating between quiet meetings and high-noise restaurant settings. The Operations Supervisor should also be flexible, able to work varied hours including weekends, and possess a valid driver’s license, as the role requires travel between multiple locations.

Overall, this role is designed for a committed and experienced restaurant leader who can effectively balance people management with business results, ensuring the continued success and growth of this McDonald's franchise in the Indianapolis and Lafayette regions. It offers comprehensive benefits, a supportive work culture, and opportunities for professional advancement within a globally recognized brand.
