Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in waste, recycling, and compost collection services for multifamily communities. With a firm commitment to service excellence and environmental responsibility, Valet Living supports a network of properties across the country by delivering reliable, efficient, and high-quality waste management solutions. The company is proud to foster a culture that emphasizes leadership, career growth, and a strong focus on operational safety and customer satisfaction. Valet Living offers a dynamic work environment where supervisors and service teams work collaboratively to meet and exceed service expectations, ensuring the cleanliness and sustainability of the communities they serve.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Area Leader to join our team in a field-based role. As an Area Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of waste, recycling, and compost collection services across 20 to 40 multifamily communities, managing a team of 15 to 40 part-time Service Valets. This position is crucial to maintaining service quality, safety, and operational efficiency. The role involves both fieldwork and remote administrative tasks, with approximately 70% of the time spent in the field and 30% on administrative duties. Core working hours are from Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with an additional two flexible hours to complete an 8-hour shift, and the schedule may vary based on business needs. The company provides a vehicle for work-related travel.
In this supervisory role, you will lead, coach, and support your team to deliver exceptional service by ensuring they are trained, equipped, and motivated to perform their jobs effectively. You will use data and technology tools like the iValet dashboard to monitor performance, manage schedules, approve timecards, and maintain budgetary control. Your responsibilities also include addressing resident and property concerns promptly and professionally, conducting property visits to review service quality, and enforcing safety standards. Additionally, you will assist with hiring, training, and supply management while collaborating closely with your Operations Manager to monitor staffing levels and control operational costs. This position requires someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and a strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
The compensation for this role ranges from $21 to $23 per hour, with the precise offer depending on location, experience, and skill set. Valet Living offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and professional development opportunities such as tuition reimbursement. The company values diversity and fosters an inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with respect and equity. If you are a leader who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and are passionate about driving service excellence, Valet Living invites you to apply and be part of a company committed to career growth and operational excellence.
