The role of Area Leader, designed specifically for current employees, is pivotal in supporting Supervisors during shifts and ensuring the seamless operation of daily restaurant activities. This leadership position acts as a critical bridge between management and team members, focusing on building a positive workplace culture and enhancing guest satisfaction. An Area Leader is entrusted with coaching new and current employees on proper operational procedures, supporting trainers in onboarding staff, and maintaining clear communication across both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
In this position, you will tackle a variety of responsibilities including monitoring Customer Engagement Metric (CEM) scores and striving towards meeting these targets. You will play a hands-on role in resolving customer issues, managing basic register functions, and handling refunds efficiently. Additionally, you will manage staff breaks, oversee the completion of cleaning duties and closing tasks, and act as a leader during peak business hours to ensure smooth shift operation.
An essential part of the job includes collaborating with different departments by recalling and communicating specific catering orders and addressing technology issues by coordinating with IT support swiftly. Food safety is paramount, and the Area Leader must have foundational knowledge in this area, ensuring safe daily critical checks are performed twice daily to uphold high standards. This role demands someone who is extremely reliable, can multitask effectively, possesses excellent communication skills, and is a positive influence within the team.
