Job Description
PAH Management is a Dallas-based hotel ownership and management company overseeing a diverse portfolio of select-service hotel properties across multiple states, primarily operating under the Marriott and Hilton brands. Known for its commitment to cultivating a work culture that prioritizes associates while aiming to become America’s preferred hotel management company, PAH Management blends strategic leadership with operational excellence to deliver exceptional guest experiences and strong business performance. The company specializes in managing midscale and extended-stay hotels, leveraging industry-leading platforms and data analytics to optimize revenue, operational efficiency, and market presence.
The position of Area Director of Sales within PAH Management is a critical leadership role tasked with delivering strategic and tactical sales direction for a portfolio of hotels across the Louisiana market. This exempt, full-time role reports directly to the Regional Director of Sales and Revenue and is based either in the market area or remotely within proximity to the assigned hotels, with the expectation of regular travel ranging from 40 to 60 percent, including overnight stays as business needs demand. The role is pivotal in driving revenue growth through proactive sales management and by fostering productive partnerships among hotel leadership, corporate teams, and key clients.
The Area Director of Sales is responsible for executing property-level sales initiatives that enhance room revenue, occupancy, average daily rates (ADR), and overall profitability across various segments including business transient, group, extended-stay, and negotiated accounts. This role requires a hands-on approach involving weekly sales calls, on-site property visits, and detailed performance analysis using industry-standard tools such as STR reports, Kalibri Labs data, and brand-specific reservation and CRM systems. The individual will spearhead efforts in account acquisition, client engagement, and focused sales blitzes to expand market share and maximize revenue potential for PAH-managed hotels.
Moreover, the Area Director of Sales collaborates closely with General Managers, Revenue Management specialists, Operations teams, and brand representatives to align sales strategies with operational goals, customer service expectations, and corporate objectives. They are accountable for maintaining the consistent and ethical application of sales policies, preparing and managing annual revenue budgets, and developing comprehensive marketing plans. This role also includes leadership responsibilities such as coaching, mentoring, and holding accountable a sales team comprising Sales Managers and other sales personnel, promoting professional development and succession planning within the team.
Success in this fast-paced, client-facing role demands exceptional communication, analytical skills, and the ability to multitask effectively across multiple properties and stakeholders. The Area Director of Sales is expected to maintain keen market insights, execute sales strategies aligned with brand standards, and represent PAH with professionalism within local communities and industry forums. This leadership role is fundamental to ensuring each assigned hotel has active, measurable sales action plans and achieving set sales activity, revenue, and performance targets consistently.
Compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and participation in hotel stay perks via Marriott and Hilton programs. PAH Management demonstrates strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced hospitality sales leader with a proven track record of revenue growth and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring at least six years of progressive hotel sales experience, including substantive multi-property sales management, and will be proficient in using industry sales platforms and analytical tools. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent commercial judgment, relationship management skills, and the ability to drive proactive sales efforts that support the growth of PAH's brand presence and financial success across the Louisiana market.
