Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and a workplace culture that values integrity, leadership, teamwork, and ownership. With a rich history of welcoming over 3 billion guests worldwide, Hilton stands as a beacon of excellence in the hotel sector, continually setting new standards for the future of travel through its suite of world-class brands. The company's core mission to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality is reflected not only in the services provided to guests but also in the supportive and award-winning environment it offers to its team members. Hilton's dedication to creating an exceptional workplace culture has earned it repeated recognition on the World's Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune, highlighting its commitment to fostering growth, professional development, and engagement among its employees.

The role of Area Director of Sales at Hilton is a pivotal position that drives the hotel’s group revenue strategy while embodying Hilton’s values of hospitality and leadership. This role is designed for a dynamic sales leader who can shape and execute comprehensive group sales strategies that align with the hotel's annual revenue goals for group rooms and banquets. The Area Director of Sales will collaborate closely with commercial and regional leadership teams to contribute to the hotel's larger commercial strategy, ensuring that every initiative is geared towards maximizing revenue streams across Rooms, Catering, and Events.

This position requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement innovative business strategies to enhance commercial performance. The Area Director of Sales will have the responsibility to set and optimize pricing approaches in coordination with commercial leadership, ensuring competitive market positioning and maximizing group pricing and rate strategies. A critical aspect of this role is the use of data-driven insights, including performance metrics, demand forecasts, and competitive analysis, to formulate and adjust sales plans effectively. This strategic use of data ensures that sales activities are aligned with revenue objectives and market conditions.

The Area Director of Sales will also play a key role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders including Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs), third-party travel partners, and key clients. These relationships are vital for driving demand, improving conversion rates, and facilitating impactful site visits and pre-convention meetings. Furthermore, this leader will be responsible for conducting business reviews and strategic planning sessions, providing valuable input into long-range commercial planning by analyzing performance trends and exploring new revenue opportunities.

Leadership and team development are at the heart of this role. The Area Director of Sales will be instrumental in recruiting talented individuals, managing team performance, and promoting a culture of recognition and professional growth. Hilton seeks a leader who not only drives commercial success but also inspires and develops their team through effective performance management and engagement initiatives.

Joining Hilton as an Area Director of Sales means becoming part of a company that prioritizes its people as much as its guests. With a clear focus on integrity, leadership, ownership, and a sense of urgency, Hilton offers an environment where employees can thrive and make a lasting impact. This position is ideal for sales professionals passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a globally renowned brand that values teamwork and excellence. Hilton supports career development at every stage and invites candidates to join a workplace where exceptional guest experiences and outstanding team culture go hand in hand.
