The Area Director of Revenue Management position is a critical leadership role within HHM Hotels, tailor-made for an experienced professional who will oversee revenue strategy for multiple independent properties within the company’s portfolio. This remote role demands proficiency in developing targeted room sales strategies, pricing, and distribution techniques to enhance revenue generation and optimize occupancy rates. This role requires a candidate based in either the Eastern or Central Time Zone, ensuring smooth communication and alignment with team members and business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, and have a proven track record within revenue management for independent hotels, preferably with experience related to IHG standards as an added advantage. This position offers a clear growth trajectory within HHM Hotels, from Area Director of Revenue Management to Regional Director of Revenue Management and ultimately to the Vice President of Revenue Management.
In this strategic capacity, the Area Director of Revenue Management will be responsible for controlling room rates and availability in line with established guidelines to maximize occupancy and revenue. They will craft and implement comprehensive sales strategies, manage channel distribution, and oversee pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning. In addition to preparing and leading weekly revenue management meetings, the incumbent will analyze booking trends, group pace, and competitive business data to inform decisions and revenue forecasts.
The role also involves managing the rate strategy tiers, booking pace by market segment, and monitoring overall monthly performance while collaborating extensively with other departments to harmonize revenue goals. Leadership duties will include hiring, training, and mentoring team members to uphold brand and company standards. Given the remote nature of this position, the candidate must demonstrate independence and adaptability while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally. Overall, this role plays a vital part in driving sustained financial success and long-term growth for HHM Hotels’ portfolio of independent properties.

Job Requirements
- College degree preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in the revenue management discipline, in a similar area or clustered position
- Independent hotel experience is required
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while supporting multiple properties
- Based in Eastern or Central Time Zone

Job Duties
- Control room rates and availability in accordance with established guidelines to maximize occupancy and revenues
- Develop, communicate and implement sales strategies, mix of business, channel management, pricing strategies, as well as reservations systems and related policies
- Prepare for and conduct weekly Revenue Management meetings involving rate and inventory strategies, transient/group pace, competitive business analysis and financial forecasts
- Initiate short and long term revenue forecasts and generate weekly and monthly critiques, identifying areas of opportunity and strategies to improve revenue and overall profitability
- Measure and analyze booking trends, pickup, no shows, and sources of business
- Manage, produce and monitor rate strategy tiers, booking pace by Market Segment, GDS, inventory and monthly results
- Work with the different departments to ensure similar goals, and implement action plans to achieve optimum revenue management
- Establish and maintain meaningful external and internal relationships
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
- Perform other duties as requested by management
