ResCare Community Living, a proud member of the Sevita family, is a respected and established provider of essential services aimed at empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since its inception in 1974, ResCare has been a leader in delivering high-quality, person-centered support that promotes independence, enriches the lives of those we serve, and helps individuals achieve their fullest potential within their homes and communities. Through a dedicated team of experienced professionals, the organization fosters a nurturing environment where skill-building and personal growth are prioritized, enabling individuals to live well and with dignity.
Sevita, the parent company, complements ResCare's mission by providing specialized home and community-based health care services nationwide. With over 40,000 dedicated team members supporting approximately 50,000 individuals, Sevita emphasizes innovation and quality in care delivery. The company's deep commitment to inclusivity and equality ensures that every individual—regardless of physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges—receives tailored services that promote growth and independence.
The role of Operations Management Area Director at ResCare Community Living is a vital leadership position centered on overseeing the operational success of program sites within a designated area. This full-time role requires an innovative, detail-oriented leader capable of providing direction and supervision to a diverse team of professionals while ensuring the delivery of outstanding services. The director is responsible for the financial health of the business unit, including managing budgets, reviewing financial statements, overseeing purchasing processes, and ensuring compliance with billing and documentation standards. Additionally, this role involves strategic growth initiatives, such as increasing the client census, maximizing occupancy rates, and assisting with new program development.
A significant component of the role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including case managers, referral agents, local legislators, and government officials. This engagement is crucial for advocacy efforts and fostering community partnerships that benefit the individuals served. The director also implements strategies to strengthen relationships with individuals served, their mentors, guardians, and families, ensuring a holistic and supportive network.
This position demands a seasoned professional with a bachelor's degree in Human Services and a minimum of three to six years of relevant experience, including significant management experience within the human services sector. Supervisory experience of at least two years is essential, alongside specific knowledge of Title 22, Title 17, and Appendix J regulations. Preference is given to candidates with Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) experience and appropriate state licensure.
Joining the ResCare Community Living team means becoming part of a compassionate and motivated group dedicated to making a tangible difference in people’s lives every day. The organization offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, and as-needed availabilities, along with a competitive compensation and benefits package for full-time employees. Benefits include a company-matched 401(k) plan, paid time off, holiday pay, and ample opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a nationwide network.
Sevita and ResCare uphold a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where individuals are valued for their unique contributions irrespective of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Those seeking a rewarding career where their leadership and dedication can positively impact the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are encouraged to apply today. ResCare is eager to welcome passionate professionals who are ready to take on the challenge of this important leadership role.
