Job Description

P.F. Chang's is a prominent leader in the restaurant industry, recognized for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture rooted in excellence, integrity, and innovation. Established as a polished upscale casual dining brand, P.F. Chang's has consistently aimed to provide a unique blend of contemporary Asian cuisine with a focus on personalized service and quality. The company's mission extends beyond serving food; it embraces a holistic approach where family, food, and life are celebrated with passion by its dedicated team members. Known for its distinct atmosphere and vibrant market presence, P.F. Chang's operates numerous full-service restaurant locations across the United States, including a strong footprint in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area.

The Area Director position, also referred to as the Market Partner, is a key leadership role entrusted with overseeing multiple restaurants within the Miami-Dade and Broward County territories. This role is primarily field-based, requiring 75 percent of the time spent across various restaurant sites to ensure operational excellence, drive sales growth, and maintain the highest standards of quality and service. The selected candidate must reside within the Miami-Dade or Broward County and be fully prepared to support the greater Miami-Fort Lauderdale market consistently.

As a Market Partner, the leader spearheads innovative sales strategies, aligns operational goals with corporate vision, and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), including EBITDA targets and cost control. This position demands a hands-on approach through regular site visits to ensure compliance with brand standards, health codes, and safety protocols. Beyond operations, the role involves leading recruitment, training, and mentoring of restaurant management teams, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation. The Area Director champions team development by providing coaching, conflict resolution, and employee relations support, nurturing a positive work environment and supporting the growth of senior leadership within the organization.

This role also includes extensive travel — up to 75% of the time — across the market to support restaurants, making it essential that candidates possess strong financial acumen, proficiency in POS and corporate software, and a proven track record of driving sales growth in a multi-restaurant leadership capacity within a full-service restaurant company. Experience in opening new restaurants is highly preferred, highlighting the strategic nature of the position.

The role provides a challenging, rewarding opportunity to join a passionate, supportive community dedicated to celebrating life. Benefits at P.F. Chang's include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation and holidays, competitive pay with performance incentives, and professional development programs such as tuition reimbursement. Additional perks such as the Lucky Cat Meal Card and exclusive employee discounts further enhance the employee experience. Overall, the Area Director position offers a dynamic career path in an innovative and guest-centric environment, ideal for leaders eager to make a significant impact in the restaurant industry.
