Job Description
KBP is a leading restaurant franchise group with a vision to be a great place to work, a great place to eat, and a great place to own. Established over 20 years ago, KBP has expanded impressively to operate more than 1,000 restaurants across over 30 states, showcasing continuous growth and entrepreneurial spirit. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive, people-first culture centered around growth, accountability, and development. KBP offers its employees a supportive work environment with numerous opportunities for personal, professional, and financial advancement. The company emphasizes promotion from within, with over half of the restaurant leadership roles filled by internal candidates, reflecting a strong commitment to career development and talent cultivation.
The Area Coach (AC) role at KBP is a dynamic leadership position responsible for overseeing approximately 6 to 9 restaurant locations within a defined market area. This is a full-time role that involves a highly active, hands-on approach to leadership, requiring regular travel between restaurants in the market to engage directly with teams and address operational challenges. The AC is instrumental in coaching and developing Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) and their leadership teams, strengthening their capabilities and driving consistent operational excellence across all managed locations.
As an Area Coach, the individual will focus on driving key business results such as sales growth, profitability, labor management, and overall restaurant performance. By partnering closely with restaurant leaders, the AC fosters accountability and empowers teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is accomplished through frequent restaurant visits, reviewing operational metrics, and using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement. The role also includes creating and implementing action plans aimed at enhancing operational performance, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.
KBP supports Area Coaches with a robust onboarding program that includes mentorship and executive coaching to ensure success and professional growth. Additional benefits like a monthly auto and phone allowance, an annual recognition program for high-performing coaches, and bi-annual leadership conferences enrich the experience. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, and other voluntary benefits further demonstrate the company’s commitment to employee well-being.
This leadership role suits candidates with proven experience in restaurant operations and multi-unit leadership who are driven by developing people, solving problems, and making a significant impact across multiple restaurant locations. With KBP’s focus on growth and leadership development, the Area Coach position offers an excellent pathway for those aspiring to expand their operational leadership capabilities or advance into larger organizational roles within the thriving restaurant industry.
