Job Description
KFC, one of the world’s most recognized quick-service restaurant brands, is renowned for its iconic fried chicken and commitment to exceptional customer service. As a global leader in the fast-food industry, KFC operates thousands of restaurants across numerous countries, focusing on delivering a consistent, high-quality experience to millions of guests every day. The company prides itself on its dedication to operational excellence, innovation, and strong community relationships. KFC emphasizes employee growth and leadership development to ensure that each team member is empowered to contribute meaningfully to the brand’s success and uphold its reputation.\n\nThe Area Restaurant Leader (Area Coach) position is a pivotal role within KFC’s management structure, designed to oversee the detailed operations of multiple restaurant locations within a designated area. This role acts as a critical link between the Director of Operations and individual restaurants, championing operational standards, financial performance, and the development of store leadership teams. The Area Restaurant Leader is charged with ensuring that every restaurant under their supervision consistently meets KFC’s brand standards for quality, cleanliness, customer service, and food safety.\n\nIn this comprehensive leadership role, the Area Restaurant Leader conducts regular store visits to evaluate performance metrics, operational compliance, and customer experience. They provide constructive coaching, collaborate closely with Restaurant General Managers (RGMs), and facilitate the growth of future leaders by supporting Shift Supervisors and Assistant Managers through tailored development plans. Managing financial aspects such as sales, labor, and food costs is also central to this position, requiring analytical skills to identify variances and implement corrective action plans to enhance profitability and reduce waste.\n\nFurther responsibilities include ensuring all restaurants are ROCC-ready (Restaurant Operational Compliance Checklist), validating training completion, and following up on inspection outcomes to maintain top-notch brand compliance. The Area Restaurant Leader provides ongoing communication and accountability measures through the monitoring of RGM schedules and labor deployment, while also escalating major issues to senior management to safeguard operational integrity. Supporting company-wide initiatives encompassing promotions, training, and safety campaigns is also integral to fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all assigned restaurants. In addition, the role requires submitting weekly performance summaries and tracking corrective actions, certifications, and training accomplishments to ensure that business objectives are met consistently. This position demands a driven individual who excels in leadership, operations management, financial oversight, and team development within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
