The Senior Executive Chef role at Aramark is a pivotal leadership position within the culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directly supervising kitchen personnel and coordinating all culinary activities to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires a skilled leader who can train and mentor kitchen staff, manage food procurement and inventory, develop and standardize recipes, and plan menus with accurate pricing. The Senior Executive Chef also ensures proper equipment maintenance and adherence to strict safety and sanitation guidelines.
In addition to daily kitchen operations, the Senior Executive Chef may take on cooking responsibilities for selected items up to 20 percent of the time, demonstrating culinary excellence firsthand. This role also includes coordinating special catering events and providing culinary instruction or demonstrations, showcasing expertise and inspiring the culinary team. The Senior Executive Chef has a significant role in hiring, mentoring, conducting performance reviews, and managing compensation adjustments within the kitchen staff.

Job Requirements
- 8+ years of industry and culinary management experience
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- ability to lead in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services
- previous experience with control food and labor cost, demonstration cooking, menu development and pricing, and development of culinary team preferred
- P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience desirable

Job Duties
- Train and lead kitchen personnel
- estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- establish presentation technique and quality standards
- plan and price menus
- ensure accurate equipment operation and maintenance
- ensure accurate safety and sanitation in kitchen
- cook selected items no more than 20 percent of the time
- coordinate special catering events and offer culinary instruction and or demonstrate culinary techniques
- directly supervise kitchen personnel with responsibilities for hiring, mentoring, performance reviews and initiating pay increases
