The Aprendiz de cocinero (Cook Apprentice) position at Sodexo, located at the University of Colorado at Denver, is a full-time role designed for aspiring chefs and future kitchen leaders. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their culinary skills through a structured six-week training program. Apprentices are trained to prepare, portion, cook, and present a wide variety of hot and cold foods efficiently and with precision across different meal services including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events or catering. The role requires flexibility in working varying shifts and open availability is preferred, with more details provided during the interview process. Upon successful completion of the training, apprentices will be eligible to apply for a Cook I position.

Job Requirements

  • No prior experience required but an interest in culinary arts
  • Ability to work flexible hours including varying shifts
  • Reliable transportation to work location
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Perform other tasks assigned which may vary depending on business and client needs
