The role of Apprentice Cook at Sodexo, located at Gonzaga University, offers a part-time employment opportunity with an hourly wage ranging from $17.13 to $18.00. This position is designed as a 6-week training program intended to develop cooking skills and prepare the apprentice for advancement to a Cook I position. Working as an Apprentice Cook involves preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold foods precisely and efficiently across multiple meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as special events or catering. This role requires adaptability and a commitment to maintaining a positive and safe work environment. The Apprentice Cook is not only responsible for food preparation but also for attending scheduled shifts timely and reliably. Additionally, the role may involve undertaking other tasks as required by the specific business needs or client requests.
